Jay Leno Escapes Traffic Jam with Citroen DS

Even celebs like Jay Leno have to face the ordeal of being stuck in traffic late in the evening when everybody wants to get home as soon as possible.

The guys from TMZ managed to film the Emmy Award-winning American stand-up comedian in his red Citroen DS stuck in a traffic jam while returning to his Hollywood mansion. Quite obviously, Leno was extremely surprised to see the crowd and didn't understand what was happening. Was anyone dancing naked in the middle of the road or what?

Well, no matter how funny the scenario may be, it wasn't the case. Actually, the traffic was blocked because the rap mogul Russell Simons was having a party that night and everybody was rushing to get there. Everybody, except for Jay Leno who just wanted to get home. And judging by his face, we might assume he intended to take a nap as he looked sort of tired.

So, what was to be done in this case? At first, Leno (unoriginally) starts honking as any other impatient driver would have done in his situation. Seeing that honking is no good, he then calms down and is even eager to have a conversation with the paparazzi who question him about the car he was riding in that night. And since he eventually realizes he will be stuck in traffic for a while, he starts joking in his unique style.

However, just when you might have believed he has accepted the unpleasant situation, Leno proves the whole world he can squeeze his way with a small car and escape the traffic ordeal. Little does it matter that he had to drive his Citroen DS on the pedestrian sidewalk. The man was free again, right? Good job, Leno! Now you really prove the utility of your garage: a car for each situation!
