Jay Leno Does Meet and Great With Cadillac Ciel Concept [Video]
But we’re not here to talk about a car that Leno has bought, as we’ll be focusing on the stylish Cadillac Ciel that made its debut there.
This artistic-looking convertible is revealed in detail to Jay by none other than GM's VP of Global Design Ed Welburn. We’re big fans of the car that looks as imposing as some as it is beautiful, but the most interesting part is that this four-door, four-seater convertible is powered not by some silly hybrid motor, but by a twin-turbo V6 capable of 435 horsepower. This engine is expected to see the light of production and could power the hotter version of Cadillac’s upcoming 3-Series rival.
Other than that, we’re still hoping the Ciel will eventually enter production in some form of another, as the world definitely needs more Art Deco cars.
We’ll remind you that the Ciel is French for Sky, a fitting name for a car that wafts you along in style and comfort.
“Large, expressive luxury is innate to Cadillac and the Ciel recalls that heritage, while suggesting where the brand can go in the future,” said Clay Dean, global design director for Cadillac. “Authentic luxury is driven by experiences, not just products, and Ciel is about the experience of the journey.”
