Jaguar F-Type Four-Door Coupe Looks Dashing

When Jaguar introduced the F-Type sports car last year, not only fans of the breed, but even those old geezers with tweed jackets were impressed with the British marque's new model. The spiritual successor of the iconic E-Type, the F-Type is offered as a soft-top convertible or in coupe guise, with either a supercharged V6 or a thumping great V8 motor.
Some of you might remember that the E-Type was offered in three body styles: fixed-head coupe, convertible and in 2+2 four-seater flavor. Although the recently discontinued XK was a 2+2, its rear seats were not enough not even for small children. The only people that can be seated comfortably there are those who can do the Lotus Position.

And that's why, in this day and age, a four-door coupe variant of the F-Type makes sense all things considered. Aston Martin did the same thing with the Rapide sports sedan, by adding two doors to the DB9 grand tourer. Porsche's Panamera and the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe are following the same four-door coupe recipe, so c'mon Jaguar design team, chop chop and do something similar with the F-Type.

Although pixel manipulator/Photoshop wizard Theophilus Chin says that his rendering of the Jaguar F-Type Four-Door Coupe is "something unusual, something weird, something bizarre," we're pretty sure there's a big market for such a variant of the British sports car. Mind you, the small rear windows will prove problematic if you plan to take claustrophobic friends for a drive. Now what about that manual?
