Jaguar's new C-X17 crossover concept is every bit the production intent car, announced in Frankfurt together with its new aluminum architecture and everything.
But before the Brits can put it into production, they have to finish the F-Type Coupe in 2014 and the new entry-level sedan in 2015. Which means the C-X17 will only be ready in 2016.

That's a long time to wait for a production car to be shown, so maybe you guys want to see what it might be like right now. X-Tomi Design has used his photoshoping skills to make this rendering. It's based on the concept but adds those all-important details, like door handles and smaller wheels.

The all-LED headlights have been changed to something not unlike the current XF. Also, the 23-inch wheels on the concept have shrunk a little bit. The Jag has also lost those LED rings around the air intakes, but it's  all the better for it.

Of course, even in its diluted form, the C-X17 or XQ as it might be called is very sexy and definitely worth the wait.
