While Iveco may not be doing so well as a company, the quality of their products still persists, and so, their new Stralis Hi-Way has just been voted ‘Truck of the Year 2012’, by 25 leading commercial vehicles magazines from Europe. The jury stated that it “has made the greatest contribution to road transport efficiency from several different perspectives including: fuel economy; safety; driveability; comfort and a low-environmental footprint.
The award was presented at the 64th edition of the Hanover International Motor show, the single largest event for commercial vehicles in the whole of Europe. Back to the Stralis, it was primarily praised for the fact that all its features add up to create a truck which has 4% less Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

The CEO of Iveco, Alfredo Altavilla said: "We are proud of this award. The new STRALIS sets a benchmark in efficiency, quality and value for the customer. The vehicle is a true showcase of our revamped company strategy of being close to our customers, delivering excellent products.” This award may boost the moral of the entire company, and perhaps give them a much-needed increase in sales, in order to overcome the aforementioned difficult period.
