Even though HRC has confirmed Casey Stoner as their test rider for 2014, it looks like things may not follow according to plan. At least, this is what team boss Livio Suppo hints us as he suspects that Stoner is looking forward to taking a break from MotoGP bikes.
The collaboration between Honda and the young retired champion went well in 2013 despite the rain which hampered pretty much every single testing session at Motegi.
Stoner helped the factory develop both their MotoGP prototypes and the RCV1000R production racer, and it looked like things were settled for 2014, as well.
However, if we are to believe what gp-inside reports, Honda may be left without Casey Stoner this year, or with him riding much less than he did the previous year. The coming weeks are expected t bring some light in this matter.
