The tuning World Bodensee show, which was held last week, saw the Opel Astra receive a new modification package. Irmscher has created a complete modification package for the German compact, enhancing the vehicle’s dynamic capabilities, as well as its looks.

The Astra’s new 1.6 liter four cylinder engine, which offered 181 hp and 230 Nm of torque (170 lb-ft) when it left the factory, now offers 200 hp and 295 Nm of torque (218 lb-ft).

The vehicle, now called the Irmscher Astra i1600, sits 30 mm closer to the road, as the tuning house has fitted it with a new suspension suspension system, in order to improve its handling. The car uses 18 and 20 inch Star Turbo and Turbo-Star Exclusive alloy rims, which are wrapped in high performance tires.

The vehicle comes dressed in a body kit, which offers it an aggressive appearance. At the front of the car, we find a front bumper lip and a new grille, which comes with a carbon bar that wears the “i1600” logo.

Moving to the side of the compact, we see a new set of skirts, which have a design that follows the one used by the front bumper add-on element. At the rear of the car, the German tuner has fitted a diffuser insert, new exhaust tips and a roof spoiler.

The Astra’s interior features Irmscher sport seats and a leather finish for the door panels and center armrests, also offering owners the possibility to choose the color of certain elements.

The i600 package can be retrofitted at the tuning company’s headquarters in Remshalden.
