According to Motor Trend, the new Infiniti crossover could be slotted below the EX and hit the market with the QX30 name. In addition, our source claims the new vehicle should draw its looks from the company’s Etherea concept, while production, projected at 60,000 units a year, will take place at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in England.

Rumored to be offered in the United States as well, the future Infiniti QX30 could sport a slightly tweaked version of the CLA’s turbocharged 2.0-liter engine as well. The Nissan division is no stranger to Mercedes-Benz engines, as the European-spec Q50 is powered by a modified turbodiesel 2.1-liter engine found in almost any Stuttgart-developed vehicle.
