The embodiments of Indian's transition from one era to the other, the Chieftain brings together the old-school vibe Indian fans and enthusiasts love, and the modern take on building classic-looking touring bikes.

We like to see that Indian's range of accessories are a neat aesthetic complement to all the four color options for the current model, which include the classic red, the Thunder Black, Silver Smoke and the two-tone Star Silver/Thunder Black option.

We know that a lot of guys who love classic cruisers are in favor of leather accents added to pretty much any place that can accommodate such accessories. However, we could not help smiling broadly when observing a leather extension for the rear mudguard.

Everything looks nice and sleek when new, but repeated riding in the wet would certainly wash away the neatness from that specific part. Even so, the patina might add to the overall aesthetics of a motorcycle, so we're not going to bash it.

Leather-wrapped highway bars look elegant

One of the most elegant accessories in the new Indian Chieftain line is the set of leather-wrapped mustache highway bars. Indian shot them when installed on the Black/Silver Chieftain, and they look smashing. Again, it remains to be seen how riding in inclement weather will change their looks.

Other accessories include color-matching painted inner fairings, loudspeakers that can be installed in the hard saddlebags lids, high-flow open filters (not the coolest choice if it rains), and custom aftermarket exhausts manufactured by Remus especially for the Chieftain. Obviously, the iconic fishtail exhaust tips could not miss from the list.

No prices were mentioned in the press release, but riders will most likely find out all the details they need contacting their nearest Indian dealership.
