Hyundai Genesis Sedans Recalled Over Faulty Brakes
Although the complains were made for 2009 model year vehicles, the South Korean automaker decided to recall Genesis sedans manufactured from April 1, 2008, through March 16, 2012. This is the second time Hyundai is recalling Genesis sedans to solve issues with the brake system’s Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit. This happened in March, when owners brought in about 60 percent of the affected vehicles.
Owners will be contacted via first-class mail and repairs will be made free of charge. Hyundai will reportedly replace the brake fluid in these cars with a new one that contains corrosion inhibitors. Owners affected by the recall will be given loaner vehicles until their Genesis are fixed.
