We'd never actually call this an SUV, but the yet unnamed model has undeniably more curb appeal than to the i20 or the Accent. In fact, it might put them out of business.
Our spies stationed in Germany have caught up to the i20-based SUV again, obviously. Hyundai is a very design-based company, but we're not sure it's a smart idea to give every model its own identity. I mean, BMW and Mercedes do uniform model ranges, and it's working out pretty good.

The yet unnamed B-segment crossover SUV borrows styling elements from rivals that are already on the market. The Citroen C4 Cactus inspiration is quite obvious, with a thin strip of daytime running lights at the top and the headlights below that.

There are other crossovers that do it this way, but Hyundai is going to argue it had the idea since 2014, when it revealed the Intrado concept at the Geneva Motor Show. But it's not the same thing, is it?!

Just because the i20-SUV looks like a Citroen doesn't mean we don't love it. In fact, the LED elements are far sharper, and it's got that well defined hexagonal grille.

Another thing we like is the sleek nose. Most SUVs have it high up because it makes them look tougher. From the upcoming Polo SUV to the Renault Captur, everybody is the same except Hyundai.

The engines for this thing are likely to be shared with the i20, which means a 1-liter turbo is going to play a big role. But there might be larger mills since we see the turn signal indicators that are characteristic of the US market. So... 1.4 Turbo perhaps?

Diesel will be available too, but this car won't need anything more than the 1.6-liter CRDi. Depending on the model (and the market) these engines will be seasoned with a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic and 7-speed dual clutch automatic.

The only problem here is not with the car itself but with Hyundai and how many cars it's developed to do the same job. Why did they have to make the i20 Active? Why is there another small SUV called the Creta? And how can they come with the Hyundai-Kia overlap? God knows Peugeot-Citroen or VW-Skoda can't do it.
