I showed it to some buddies, and some of them got mad at this Youtuber, because they believed that no S1000R should be transformed into a popcorn machine. I replied that it's up to each owner to do as he pleases with his or her bike, including wrecking it, setting it on fire, giving it away and all. But what this guy did is simply hysterical!
No oil need to make popcorn
On the other hand, other people loved the fun side of this chap's video and have been quick to add that this looks more like diet popcorn because it doesn't use any oil. Other said that the idea is marvelous because it allows any rider to enjoy fresh popcorn everywhere, even on the highway or in remote spots.
Some advocated a better popped corn collection system to cut down the waste, while more technical minds even proposed an add-on for the S1000R that would store and deploy kernels into the silencer at the press of a button. Of course, this system should be BMW branded for perfect integration and compliance, with riders being offered to opt in for a system that matches their aftermarket silencer of choice.
The only thing that needs further testing is which silencers work better, shorty or long ones. Because one might travel with a bunch of buddies, and being able to deliver bigger popcorn quantities in a short time might be a serious advantage...
