Replacing the engine air filter on your Lexus ES 350 is part of the regular maintenance, so if you change the oil and its filters, don’t forget the air one.
The job takes a little more time than on other vehicles, because the air filter case is located under some extra engine covers which you will have to take out first. It’s not that complicated, all you need is a flathead screwdriver.
First, open up the hood
Remove all the snap plastic bolts from the driver side’s plastic engine cover
Take the whole cover out
With the area now exposed, locate the air filter case
Undo the case’s safety snaps
Lift of the cover and extract the dirty filter
Put the new filter in and close back the case
Mount the plastic engine cover back.
