The most easy way to immobilize your Corolla and discourage a thief is to remove a vital part from its engine. No, we’re not suggesting to remove spark plugs or fuel lines, but something much more easy to take away - a fuse.
So, if you have to park in a bad neighborhood and don’t want your Corolla jacked, pop up the hood, locate the fuse box and look for the EFI fuse, which handles the electronic fuel injection system. Remove the fuse and take it with you.
The engine won’t start because it won’t be fed with gasoline. The EFI fuse is also a part made only by Toyota so there are minimum chances that a thief will have one with him without having to see an official dealership.
