How to Install Fog Lights on Scion FR-S

Yeah, we know, it’s pretty bad that the Scion FR-S comes with no fog lights included no matter what trim you choose. But you can find some aftermarket ones that till fit just bellow the signals at the front of the car.

The guy that made the video tutorial you will see bellow used two fog lamp assemblies from a 2010-2013 Subaru Legacy Outback, which appears to fit well. Also he got a H11 harness and two fog light covers to replace the stock ones. If you decide to use the same parts, their code numbers and purchase links in the first video description on YouTube.

You will need a basic toolbox, a soldering gun, wire insulator and some zip ties to secure the wire harness around the engine bay.

The wires connecting and fitment is the hardest part, as you will have to stick your hands in tight places to connect it from the battery, under the fuse box and to the lower front side. Also, the end of the harness that goes into the cabin has to go through the fire wall.

Next, you will have to actually fit the fog lights and their replacement surroundings, so you can jack up the car to gain easier access and remove the paneling from under the bumper. Then pop out the stock bezels/surroundings and bolt on the foglight to the existing mounting points. Plug them in and put everything back together and you should be ready to go.
