A while ago we were telling you that Dinan released a complete kit for the M3 and M4 models that will bring some serious power to the mix. Sure, the guys from Dinan Engineering are some of the most expensive on the market, and they don’t even offer the most extreme upgrades.
However, the one thing they do provide and others won’t is a means of making your car more aggressive and faster without voiding your warranty. For some people that’s worth the extra bucks.

How much, you ask? Well, about $10,000. That’s if we’re talking only about performance enhancing upgrades. If we’re to add in all the parts from Dinan seen on the car in the video below, the price goes well above that psychological threshold.

So what do you get? First of all an ECU tune that, combined with the new cold air intake and the stainless steel exhaust should take total output up to no less than 530 HP. That’s a 100 HP bump compared to the stock version of the S55 3-liter inline 6-cylinder engine and a lot overall for a plant as small as this.

On top of all this you also get new coilovers and sway bars included in the $10,000 package and those should prove to be just as important as the power increase when it comes to changing the character of the M4.

What Matt is driving here, though, has all the bells and whistles on, going from carbon fiber mirror caps to even aluminum pedal covers wearing the Dinan badge on them.

Was it enough to impress him? Well, the upgrades Dinan did on the car work flawlessly with the car and, furthermore, they just add to its character, making it even more hardcore, more agile and, most of all, faster. The best part is that it was all done to complement and enhance what BMW did with the car in the first place.

We won’t go into further details but leave Matt to it, to tell you all about it and yes, try to read between the lines as he’s definitely still madly in love with the older models.
