Honda Tuner Al Lamb Does 265 mph (426 km/h) on His CBR1000RR

We're about to witness a new land speed record for sit-on bikes for Al Lamb's 265 mph (426 km/h) run in Bonneville, Utah.
Al Lamb is a well-known Honda motorcycle tuner and he already holds several speed records. This new speed record has has been established on a modified Honda CBR1000RR. Nevertheless, we're talking about a bike with an almost casual riding position.

Unlike most drag bikes and other high-speed motorcycles whose pilots are laying almost flat on their bellies, Al Lamb has a sporty stance on his bike, and this seems to count when it comes to record-breaking.

Some argue that there is still a long way to go to reach Bill Warner's 300+ mph record on a heavily modified Suzuki Hayabusa last year, but it looks like we're comparing apples and oranges, especially as Warner's record was set on an airstrip.

Leaving these discussions behind, it's really awesome to see such daring pilots pushing the speed limits beyond boundaries which seemed surreal not so long ago.
