Honda is introducing an update for the 2011 model year Civic. The compact car has received a number of modifications aimed at improving the looks and the comfort of the vehicle. However, the pricing of the model has remained unchanged.

The British-built Honda Civic has been given a refresh with a range of cosmetic enhancements for 2011. The updates and additions are designed to enhance the striking appearance and passenger comfort of the car at no extra cost to the customer,” stated the press release.

The exterior changes include the adoption of the Type R’s front grille for the entire range, as well as new types of alloy rims, which now come in standard. The 1.4 liter SE and Si, as well as the 1.8 liter SE models receive 16 inch rims, while the 1.8 liter Si now rides on 17-inch wheels. The 2011 Civic range has also received a new color: Ionized Bronze. The sporty Type S model now comes with body-colored sideskirts, as well as with a new design for the 16 inch rims.

As for the interior of the vehicle, the 2011 model year brings new finishes. The SE and ES equipment levels receive a fabric/Alcantara finish, while the S trim level comes with a leather/Alcantara finish and offers standard heated front seats.

The 2011 model year is a sad one for enthusiasts, as the Civic Type R hot hatch has been discontinued due to the fact that its high-revving 201 hp 2.0 liter VTEC engine no longer meets European emission standards.

The refreshed model will enter production at Honda’s Swindon plant in the UK next month.

As we said, the 2011 Civic comes with the same level of pricing as the 2010 model. This means that you can have the entry level Type S for EUR15,992 ($22,187)
