Honda Reveals Two Very Cool Videos for the MotoGP and Road Racing Championships

The "HRC art directors" have been busy lately with the production of these two videos, and we are glad they were. If anything, such videos are way cooler than pretty much any commercial the marketers could come up with. They show the very essence of high-performance riding, and the way a manufacturer like Honda sees things.
Even more, with real riders, such as Marc Marquez, John McGuinness, Dani Pedrosa or Conor Cummins, things look even more lively. That is because what these fellows do is not a staged performance of a stunt rider showing how cool a certain bike is on a circuit or when cruising in the city.

People can attend racing events and see these modern-day heroes doing what they say they do, and showing the world that the performance of the bikes they're talking about is real. Now, whether they are getting on the highest step of the podium at the end of a race or not, this is a completely different thing...

The Repsol Honda MotoGP team is reunited as Pedrosa rejoins racing at Le Mans

Coincidence or not, the MotoGP video comes just after Dani Pedrosa announced he is back in business and will rejoin the grid at Le Mans. Pedrosa missed three rounds, recovering after a surgery in his right arm. The doctors and his team wanted to make sure he was back at 100% by the time Free Practice 1 starts in Le Mans.

This short MotoGP video probably serves as an inspirational one for both fans and riders alike, especially as Honda's performance this season was not as terrific as what MM93 delivered last year. In 2014, Marquez won the first ten rounds of the season, whereas this year he only claimed victory in one out of four.

Pedrosa was substituted for by HRC's test rider Hiroshi Aoyama, but his lack of strong performance, even when aboard a top-spec bike, left Honda without valuable points.

In the Road Racing series, the TT is still the main event everybody prepares for

It goes without saying that the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy is the main event of the road racing season. Winning a race on the Snaefell Mountain is usually regarded as being more important and glorious than anything else.

However, the TT being probably the most extreme road racing event on the planet comes with the need that a team should work flawlessly, and riders do "at least their best." The video brings us the magic Mr. Pint and his team-mate Conor Cummins during a test session at Castle Combe, preparing for the NW200.

The NW200 race that takes place this very weekend is a great way to verify the progress for both rider and teams, and is one more step towards reaching the peak form for the TT.

It's already history in the making at the NW200, as Alastair Seeley won his 13th race at the triangle circuit and is now on par with Michael Rutter and the amazing Joey Dunlop.

We use this occasion to remember rider Simon Andrews, who tragically lost his life in a crash at the NW200 last year, in the Superstock race. As for the TT, this year we get to see Victory Motorcycles debuting an electric bike in Manx.
