Japanese automaker Honda has announced the introduction of a new special edition CR-V crossover SUV. Called Black Edition, the new model was launched in Holland this month, but will become available on all European markets later this year.
Priced between €29,990 and €45,990 (€2,290 to €3,490 more than the regular version), the Black Edition CR-V comes with black exterior paint, front grille, and front/rear bumpers, black mirror caps, front/rear skip plates, and spoiler, tinted glass, and Black Gunpowder 18/19-inch wheels.
Despite its name, the Black Edition can also be ordered in a White Orchid Pearl body color. Yes, we know it sounds stupid, but its these types of ridiculous marketing schemes the automotive industry is relying on from time to time.
Honda offers the CR-V Black Edition in four trim levels - Comfort, Elegance, Lifestyle and Executive - with a choice of three engines: 2.0 i-VTEC, 2.4 i-VTEC, and 2.2 i-CTDi.
