Honda Civic to Get 1.6 i-DTEC Diesel in Australia
According to CarAdvice.com.au, the Civic will get the 1.6-liter diesel around the middle of 2013, and it will only be available with a manual. The 1.6-liter i-DTEC is the first European engine of the Earth Dreams family and produces 88 kW (120 PS) and class-leading torque of 300 Nm at 2,000rpm. On the European cycle, it puts out 94 grams of CO2 per kilometer and uses up 3.6 liters of fuel.
The cars will be imported into Australia from the European manufacturing facility in Swindon, England.
