Canadian riders can rejoice, as it seems like the rumors of Honda bringing back the VFR800 are true. Even more, the all-new CBR650F machine will accompany it, the same sources say.
The VFR retains the acclaimed V-TEC engine, with the additional 2 valves per cylinder starting to work when more power is needed and the revs reach a certain point. The V-TEC engine has remained almost untouched since its introduction, and the number of VFR riders is a good measure of its success.
The new bike also receives traction control, updated forks and swingarm, radial brakes and even an optional electronic assistant for faster shifting. Canada is said to receive red and white VFR machines, with a price tag of $14,499 (€10,700).
The new supersport CBR650F is expected to reach the Canadian market with a price tag reading $9,499 (€7,010). With young customers in mind, the price was kept low by means of a less expensive steel frame, and only the swingarm being made from aluminium.
ABS looks like standard, and the riding comfort has also been improved with higher-mounted clip-ons. No firm availability date is known at the time of writing.
