Honda Builds 3 Millionth Car in Alabama

The guys from Honda’s production facility in Lincoln, Alabama have something to celebrate as they have produced their 3 millionth vehicle. The big day was immortalized and the picture features the employes holding a sign that says “Congratulations HMA Associates! Celebrating production of 3,000,000 Alabama-built vehicles and engines!”

It seems that this incredible achievement comes exactly 12 years after the plant was opened in November 2001 and its milestone vehicle was a Honda Pilot. Even so, the Pilot is not the facility’s number one car, the Odyssey being its star with 1.82 million units built.

HMA President Tom Shoupe was pretty excited about the production milestone and said: “The commitment and dedication of our 4,000 associates has allowed Honda Manufacturing of Alabama to achieve this production milestone and fulfill our commitment to more than 3 million Honda customers across the globe.” Quite a big accomplishment and deserving of our congratulations

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
