Cool things are happening in Honda’s small-displacement camp, as well, as the Japanese manufacturer announced the ABS Special Edition version for its quarter-liter CBR machine.
Like its name already tells us, the Honda CBR250R ABS Special Edition will also sport ABS. At the time of writing, there is no word on whether this bike will ever make it outside the domestic, Japanese market, for which it was apparently conceived. The Japanese customers apparently are way more attached to the quarter-liter bikes than their western fellows, even though 250cc sport bikes are growing in popularity in the US.

The coolest thing about the Honda CBR250R ABS Special Edition is that it will be offered in the eye-catching MotoGP Repsol livery, with a generous white area to make a difference and add lightness to the new attire. Apparently the CBR250R ABS Special Edition shares the front cowl with the CBR300 machine.

On the tech side, the CBR250R ABS Special Edition is the same as the stock version, with the 29 horsepower 250cc single-cylinder engine under the sizzling hot bodywork. Am I the only one who believes that Honda should make Repsol liveries for its entire CBR range? Guess not. Aprilia is using SBK-inspired liveries for its scooters, so why couldn’t Honda do the same, especially as Repsol Honda has the reigning champion? Please, Honda, take some time and think about it…
