Hero HX250R Already Compared to the Honda CBR250R

It looks like the Hero - EBR tie-up will brings a serious stir in the small-displacement motorcycle segment, and the recent unveiling of Hero's HX250R quarter-liter sport machine is already generating questions.

The fact that Hero will access the North American markets thanks to Erik Buell Racing is no secret, and the Indians know that price isn't by far the biggest selling point for the customers in these markets. So if hero wants to make entering this market worth the efforts (and the money), competitive bikes are to be offered.

With the small-displacement battle being fought valiantly by the big manufacturers and nifty bikes being offered around the world, the new Hero machine had to be a really tough competitor to the traditional first-choices.

So it was kind of natural that the first-blood was drawn against the Honda CBR250R. I am not exactly a Hero fan, but if the Buell DNA turns out to make these bikes reliable and perform well, then the Japanese are in a bit of trouble...

Maxabout has put up a comparison between the two and I hope it will hope future customers make better decisions.
