As we reported back in May, Chrysler is working on a more powerful Dodge Challenger to rival the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the Ford Mustang Cobra. Codenamed “Hellcat”, the beefed-up musclecar is expected to go into production in mid-2014 with about 640 HP under the hood.
Unhappy with the long wait? No need to worry than. All you have to do is wait for Hennessey to finish developing their HPE650 Challenger SRT8, which will come with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 mill tuned to deliver 650 horsepower. Sooner than the factory Hellcat is scheduled to arrive, obviously...

So what’s this Hennessey kit all about? First of all there’s the TVS2300 supercharger. You can’t go wrong with that. Then, the specialist added an upgraded fuel system with high-flow fuel injectors, stainless steel full-length headers and polished cylinder heads, among other goodies. We won’t tell you what this green Challenger is capable of, but you can find out by watching the video uploaded below. And don’t forget to crank up the volume!
