After offering us a teaser, Heico Sportiv is now releasing a tuning kit for the Volvo V40 Cross Country, offering us a complete approach dubbed HPC.
We’ll start our journey under the hood, where the hottest engine available, the T5 2.5-liter five-cylinder petrol was gifted with mods for the intercooler, turbocharging system, as well as for the exhaust. Thus, the unit was taken from 254 hp and 360 Nm (265 lb-ft) to 320 hp and 376 lb-ft (510 Nm).
Should the driver press a dedicated button on the steering wheel, the new ECU management system pushes the car to 350 hp via a water-ethanol injection system. This allows the Volvo V40 T5 HPC to leave the 0 to 62 mph sprint behind in 5.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 164 mph (265 km/h).
Heico Sportiv gifted the car with a sports suspension that brings it 30 mm closer to the road, which means that this is now just 10 mm higher than the standard V40. The vehicle rides on 19-inch wheels shod in 235/35 R19 rubber. The wheels hide a special braking system that sees the front axle using six-piston calipers and 370mm perforated rotors.
The Heico Sportiv Volvo V40 T5 HPC features a body kit made from polyurethane plastic, while the vehicle received a Matte Toxic Green wrap with black stripes on the sides.
As for the interior, this has been gifted with a pair of Recaro seats, a sport steering wheel with paddles, as well as aluminum pedals and an Alcantara finish for the handbrake.
Heico Sportiv plans to offer the aforementioned goodies as separate items, but the company doesn’t rule out a one-piece kit.
