When a customer entered the Shaw Speed & Custom workshop asking these amazing Brits to build him a badass Harley with painfully mean looks, but do this as fast as they could, the guys took their time to weigh in their odds and accepted the job. It was obviously a “mission impossible”-grade task, but they went for it, nevertheless.
A Softail Rocker C was chosen as the donor bike, since it already provided enough room for installing a 300mm rear tire without employing the hacksaw. And judging by the 8-week deadline, keeping things rolling fast was really important.

SS&C chose Roland Sands Design Black Ops wheels and multiple Performance Machine CNC parts and covers. A double belt pulley was installed to get the rear wheel run in line with the primary without additional work needed. The front end was “stolen” off a Harley V-Rod Muscle, and the red paint on the USD forks complemented the other similar accents on the Mission Impossible. Performance Machine delivered the new custom calipers, master cylinder and switchgear, as well.

A V-Rod headlight was kept in place for the same menacing-looks purpose, with the clip-on bars as the final, amazing add-on for the bike. A wider pair of clip-ons was installed for less steering efforts and a Beach bar feel.

Mission Impossible got a fully-rebuilt 110 cui (1800-class) engine, and it looks like moving the oil tank and cooler to the front was a nifty idea, with the honeycomb grille and the massive chin spoiler adding even more badass styling to the bike. Finally, killer graphics from Tom Fuller of Image Design Custom fame adorned the Mission Impossible and turned it into mission accomplished.

The bike reached his owner in the Isle of Man, and has already won two big custom competitions.
