Finally, we've found a car that has us scratching our heads, a car that takes a bit of Googling to figure out.
This is the Gulf Lotus X12, spotted in Dubai by our supercar spotting friend Patrick3331. From what we've been able to figure out, the first time it was spotted was at the 2012 Middle East Motor Tuning Show held at the Sharjah Expo Center.
The idea behind it is as crazy as one of Hitler's super-tanks. You take a BMW X6, the pinnacle of Sports Utility Coupe engineering and style, and you increase its size. The X12 is actually based on the Hummer H2 or H3, judging by the shape of the front roof pilar. Over this frame, the Arab tuners have pasted a number of BMW components, like the headlights from a 7-Series, the taillights and boot lid from the BMW X6 and the grille from… a Lincoln?
There's also a slew of tuning bits from Hamann, like that vented hood, triple exhaust, LED accents and rear wing. How drunk was the X12's father when it hooked up with an ugly Hummer? Guess that's a night to remember.
