Green Hornet Black Beauty Is Back [Video]
For those of you who don't know yet, Green Hornet's weapon of choice was the Black Beauty, a car-based arsenal on wheels. A car which has become a character of its own in the movie and, if you like, the most recognisable superhero vehicle, after Batman's Batmobile.
To be played by Seth Rogen, the Green Hornet comes back to haunt evil aboard Black Beauty, a Chrysler Crown Imperial tweaked beyond recognition, the same type of model used in the 1960's.
So far, until the car to be featured in the Michel Gondry's 2011 Green Hornet, two Black Beauties were built, both by Dean Jeffries. Jeffries, who had been commissioned to build the Batmobile for the Batman TV series but failed to secure a contract, used for the first car a 1966 Imperial Crown.
It remains to be seen whether the new Green Hornet will live up to its TV series counterpart's name. The 1 season TV series of the '60s brought two things into the spotlight for the American public: Chrysler, the American manufacturer's first big role on camera and the martial arts of Bruce Lee, who played Kato in the series.
For now, we only have the first trailer of the movie in the video below, so it's a bit early to judge. Yet, by the looks of it, we think it will worth our while.
