Google VP Benjamin Sloss Treynor is know for his automotive passion and has also built a loving husband reputation. But what happens when the two aspects mix?
Well, the most recent answer to that question says a lot about the family’s racing adventures. These people love Ferraris. While they own Prancing Horses such as the LaFerrari (this is actually driven by Kristine, Benjamin’s wife), Enzo’s racing spirit has gotten into their blood.
As a result, they also race Ferraris. In fact, Kristine’s on-line nickname is because race wife. As we said, the most recent motorsport feat of the couple can easily be described by the image above. Now that the two have an FXX K, the LaFerrari’s racing version, this gets time track in Kristine’s hands, while Benjamin races the previous Ferrari customer racing machine, a 599XX.
You can even see Kristine enjoying the benefits of the Ferrari Corse Clienti program in the video below.
Some might wonder why the two have chosen this pathway. Benjamin, who is Google’s Engineering VP, has explained this.
“Honest answer? I'm typically 2-3 secs/lap faster than her on track day, and giving her a car which is 3 secs/lap faster than mine (at Fiorano, anyway) puts us on even footing. She's improving faster than I am however, so soon I'll have a runaway bride to chase on-track. And that's a great way to spend the day together,” the Google VP said.
The two spend similar moments even when they ride their bicycles. As you’ll be able to see in the gallery, Benjamin uses a McLaren Tarmac, while Kristine enjoys an Amira S-Works. And yes, the bikes are connected to their cars.
While the first bicycle’s connection with Benjamin’s McLaren P1 is obvious, the Amira has a livery that reminds of the couple’s 599XX.
Don’t imagine the couple sticks to Ferraris though. The four-wheeled ventures go as wild as Paganis, Hellcats and, of course, Teslas.
PS: no, Ferrari still doesn't let you take these racecars home, or at a racetrack of your choice, after you buy them. The majestic photo above was taken at Fiorano. Still, not a bad lunch break.
