GM’s been talking about bring the pretty lil’ Opel Adam to the United States for more than a year now, but they’ve yet to make an official announcement for a Buick-badged city car.
The vehicle is not off the table though, as GM head of global product development Mark Reuss considers that a US market Opel Adam “ain’t a bad idea” as long as it’s sold through the Buick brand. This will make it a little expensive than its European brother and stop it from competing against the Chevrolet Sonic.
However, a Buick-badged Opel Adam is more likely to help the brand grow even more in China, where about 80 percent of the one million cars delivered last year were sold.
