As you might know already, the US Toyota Camry undergone a very intricate facelift, receiving a totally new face and mechanical upgrades that almost transform it into a whole new model. Well, that can’t be said about its global market version which has been revealed in Moscow following the teaser photo from last week.
If it surprises you to hear there’s another Camry version out there, we’ll inform you that the model is also being sold in other big markets like Russia, Australia and the ASEAN one.

Back to the reveal now, we were right. The facelifted global Toyota Camry can’t be compared to the US version. It stayed almost the same. receiving some minor updates to the front and back. For example, the narrower upper grille with a broad chrome strip above, the huge trapezoidal grille bellow with integrated foglights and the redesigned rear lights reunited by a chrome strip.

It also appears to have a slightly changed rear bumper with dual exhaust tips and redesigned alloy wheels. The interior remains almost the same, with only a three-spoked steering wheel and some ornaments managing to catch your eye at fist glance; in rest, same colors, same fake wood, same controls.

There is a change however in the instrument panel, where the three-dial setup was ditched to adopt a more common two-dial and a 4.2-inch TFT display setup. The infotainment screen is also new and can be had in either 6.1- or 7-inch sizes.

With the changes being kept to a minimum, don’t expect the engine range to be modified. Although the automaker said nothing about powertrains, expect the 181 hp 2.5-liter and 249 hp 3.5-liter V6 engines to be carried over along with the six-speed automatic gearbox. There’s also an updated 2-liter 150 hp gasoline engine for the Russian market, but there is no word about a hybrid powertrain.

Prices are still to be announced.
