Ghostbusters Car for Sale
The car belongs to Chris Reynolds and is not the actual car built for the movie. Even so, it's a pretty decent replica and even has some ghost-history behind it. Before being converted into the Ecto 1 by Reynolds, the vehicle has been used as a vehicle in church parades. After that, it was used as a vehicle for promotion work and private hire.
The Cadillac, a 1959 Cadillac S&S Ambulance comes equipped with a 6.5l V8 engine and is the daddy of all gas-guzzlers by trade. It's fuel consumption figure, 8 mpg (29l/100 km), will pretty much prevent you from driving it anywhere.
Understandable, given it's dimenssions (20 foot long by 6.5 foot wide and 2.55 tonnes). Then again, who else can say is hunting ghosts aboard the Ecto 1?
The car comes complete with V5C registration document, road tax, HMRC Import Certificate documentation, and an extensive history file.
"The car's ghostly presence is in stark contrast to the real life experience of bringing it back to life - and the cost of doing so! The car was about to be scrapped when I discovered it and the restoration has been a real labour of love, and hopefully it will find a worthy home," Reynolds was quoted as saying by The Telegraph.
