The Volvo V40 four-door hatchback has made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, with the Swedish automotive producer having important plans for the vehicle. We know that this kind of car is pretty hard to position, so we’ll start by telling you that the vehicle measures 4,369 mm (172 inches) in length, 2,041 mm (80.3 inches) in width and 1,445 mm (56.9 inches) in height, which means that it is within the limits of the compact segment.
The engine range will include multiple options, among which we’ll find a diesel that emits less than 94 grams of CO2 per km, as well as the turbocharged T5 five-cylinder petrol powerplant that produces 254 hp and offers the car a 0 to 62 mph sprint time on 6.7 seconds, placing it in the hot hatch segment.
The vehicle will be produced at the carmaker’s site in Ghent, Belgium starting from May, with Volvo targeting annual sales of 90,000 units, out of which 85 percent are expected to take place in Europe. We have to tell you that the vehicle looks even better face to fascia than it does in the pictures, especially when we're talkign about the interior.
