Geely Emgrand EC7 Coming to Britain in 2012

Shortly after the Geely EC7 sedan received a four-star rating from Euro NCAP, the Chinese carmaker has come forth with an announcement saying the car will be introduced to the UK market at the end of next year. If a Romanian affordable car doesn’t flip your boat the way it used to, how about a Chinese one?!

The EC7 mid-size will be sold both as a four-door saloon and five-door hatchback, powered by either a 1.5L or a 1.8L petrol. It will be priced from about £10,000 (about €11,600) and will cary a five year / 100,000 mile (160,000 kilometer) warranty.

“We are starting with a clean sheet of paper with the distribution of Geely passenger cars into the UK, the first major Western European country to receive them," said Matthew Cheyne, Market Development Director of Geely Auto UK.
