Aigo McLaren Mercedes PMP Officially Launched
| The Aigo McLaren Mercedes PMP |
The PMP features a 4.3-inch screen with a maximum resolution of 480x272 pixels combined with a 1280x720 high-definition resolution. The device supports a large number of video formats, including AVI, FLV, DAT, MPG, MPEG and RM. In terms of audio formats, the gadget is able to play MP3, WMA, FLAC plus a couple of less-popular extensions.
Beside all of these, the Aigo device is also a popular image browser, with support for JPG, BMP and GIF formats. Unfortunately, the e-book reader is only compatible with TXT e-books so browsing electronic books on the device may prove to be quite difficult.
Since storage capacity is extremely important for such a device, Aigo designed a special microSD slot that allows up to several GB of additional space.
The 220mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 10 hours of continuous audio playback and a maximum of 4 hours of video playback with a single charge, with the recharging process taking as much as 2 hours.
Although there's no word on pricing, the McLaren Mercedes brand may raise a little bit the overall value of this device so it will probably be sold for a few hundred dollars.
