Frankfurt Auto Show: STARTECH Jaguar XK and XKR

The tuners at STARTECH have launched their accessories program for the latest Jaguar XK and XKR models, a program available for both coupes and convertibles. The accessories are being showcased on a customized XK Coupe, that makes its world debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show.

A number of modifications destined to give a sportier look to the car are included in the package, such as new body elements, custom wheels and a new approach to the interior features.

The bodykit includes spoiler flaps on both sides of the production front apron, new daytime running lights, stylized air vents on both sides of the bumper and an exhaust system with two tailpipes, among others. All STARTECH aerodynamic components are made from carbon fiber using the ‘Prepreg’ production process in an autoclave used in motor racing and aerospace engineering.

The three-piece Monostar J Diamond Edition wheels have been custom tailored for the XK models. The front wheel houses are filled by size 9Jx21 wheels with tires in size 255/30 ZR 21. In the rear tires in size 295/25 ZR 21 mounted on size 10.5Jx21 wheels strive to provide maximum traction.

STARTECH sport springs are specially calibrated to these tire/wheel combinations. They lower the ride height of both body styles by some 40 millimeters (1.6 inches).

As for the inside enhancements, the company’s upholstery shop has created a fully brandy-colored leather interior. However, the program also offers countless other color combinations in leather and Alcantara, with more than 100 different colors always in stock.

The program features new bamboo wood trim elements matched to the brandy-colored leather. Other exclusive interior elements are scuff plates with illuminated STARTECH logo and high quality floor mats bordered with color-coordinated leather, as well as optional carbon fiber trim.
