Frankfurt 2011: Toyota Yaris [Live Photos]
The cute compact is offered with a choice of three different engines, two of which are petrols - a 1.0-liter VT-i and 1.33-liter dual VVT-I. The other unit to make its way under the bonnet is the frugal 1.4-liter D-4D diesel. In 2012, we’ll also see a hybrid version, which will use the now familiar Hybrid Synergy Drive, probably combined with a 1.3-liter unit.
The new Yaris adopts the same design language as the rest of the range, but in a softer, less angular way. The biggest change, however, is inside, where more room has been found. In addition, the instruments that used to be placed on top of the center console, in a hard to reach place have now been moved to where they should be - in front of the driver.
