Ford has been releasing all sorts of Mustang footage on its YouTube channels, as the Detroit-based automaker is getting ready to unveil the sixth-generation pony. Now, with only a couple of days left until the most anticipated vehicle of the year losses its wraps, the Blue Oval has published yet another Mustang video.
This one offers a peek at the early development of the first-generation Mustang and the 1962 Mustang 1 Concept, a prototype that eventually had nothing in common with America’s most-prized musclecar. Called “Did You Know - Mustang”, the footage includes several vintage videos that were taken during early development and assembly process of what was to become the world’s first pony car.

We know you’re anxious to have a look at the 2015 Mustang - we’re eager to see it as well, but let’s have a look at how this iconic sportscar went from concept to production. And be sure to stick around for the grand unveiling event that scheduled on December 5.
