So it’s no wonder that the vehicle driven by Batman while fighting crime still serves as inspiration for several projects, started by automakers and tuning specialists as well. The latest such automobile comes from Ford and Galpin Auto Sports and it’s not a Ford GT, as one would expect, but a pickup trucks. That’s right, a Ford F-150 - because crime-fighting superheroes need to go out shopping as well and carry stuff as well.

Dubbed “The Crimefigher”, the Bat Truck of the 21st century is a 2012 Ford F-150 that was actually designed by Jared Barris, George Barris’ grandson, and debuted at this year's Comic-Con. The vehicle received a Tuxedo Black paint job with Ferrari Red accents, as well as Batmobile-inspired fins. Power comes from a 5.0-liter V8 Ford engine.

If you’re a huge Batman fan and would like to ride in one of these Bat Trucks, Ford says Galpin Auto Sports, which is located in Southern California, is taking orders on the custom truck. However, no other details and pricing info have been revealed yet.
