When you look at the number plate of the Mustang in photo above, you might start wondering why some people call these “vanity plates” and that’s because this is a clear case of an “irony plate”.
Think about it. First of all, while plate reads stock, you need not look further than some inches away and you’ll find an aftermarket part, namely the exhaust. Sure, we can only see the tips, but the guy already broke his own rule.

Of course, this makes us wonder about the rest of the powertrain. After all, such a plate would be a perfect match for a sleeper. And don’t think that V6 Mustang’s can’t play that role. For instance, we told you about the fastest S197-generation 3.7 V6 Mustang in the world last year. This is a pony that can pull 10.7-second runs.

And yes, the mad piece of machinery does keep the stock block. With the help of an indecently-sized turbocharger, the engine delivers around 700 horses, which is more than double the factory output.

Then there’s the sheer boldness of wearing such a plate. As you know, people still show a hefty amount of hate for V6 ‘Stangs, so this guy decided to troll everybody and make his engine choice as visible as possible.

Still, with the V6 engine deserving the credit for the birth of the pony car breed, we really can’t be mad at this guy for sharing things with the world.
