Ford GT Imagined in LMP1 Costume With Marlboro Livery, Consider Us In Love

Alright, what you can see above is a Ford GT dressed in Le Mans costume and for some reason, we can't take our eyes away from it.

It could be that Marlboro livery giving the racer a strong vintage flavor or the massive rear wing that made us look twice, but we thought you guys should see this rendering from rc82workchop, especially if it happens to have the motorsport virus running through your veins.

The thing is, Ford already announced their comeback to Le Mans first with a commercial trolling Ferrari, who were beaten by the Blue Oval in Le Mans three years in a row, in 1967, 1968 and 1969.

Also, Ford unveiled the Ford GT Le Mans Racecar that will compete next year in the Le Mans GTE Pro class in partnership with names like Roush Yates Engines, Brembo, Sparco, Michelin, Forza Motorsport, and Castrol.

When you compare this rendering to the real deal revealed by Ford some time ago, it's easy to spot the differences in terms of design. The rendering looks more aggressive and ready for battle, but, unfortunately, our computer desktop background is the only place where that will ever have to perform.

As for the Ford GT Le Mans racer, we're sure you've heard it will rely on a race-oriented variation of the same 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 like the one used in the road-going Ford GT.

Also, four cars will be run at Le Mans, with the drivers to be announced at a later date.
