Ford Fiesta ST EPA-Rated at 35 MPG Highway
text size: A- A+
For family car money, you get a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo engine from the EcoBoost family. However, unlike the 150 hp unit you get in a Fusion, this has 197 hp and 214 lb-ft of torque.
Today, the Environment Protection Agency released its fuel consumption figures for the new Fiesta ST, which suggest that despite the huge power increase, the car is just as efficient as a regular hatch.
The ST is expected to return 26 mpg in town, 35 on the highway or 29 on average. If you can go anywhere near those figures in the real world, the hot Fiesta becomes the must-have item in its class.
