Ford has released a new special edition for the Fiesta: dubbed the S1600 and destined for the UK market, the version is based on the Zetec S equipment level and comes with multiple unique features.

The vehicle can be easily distinguished from the rest of the Fiesta range as it is dressed in a bespoke body kit. At the front of the car, we find a redesigned bumper, which uses a new grille and an accentuated inferior side. The new side skirts installed on the Fiesta use a design that follows that of the front bumper. The rear of the special edition features a generous air diffuser.

The Fiesta S1600 can be ordered in Frozen White or Performance Blue and features contrasting, motorsport-inspired longitudinal stripes. The car rides on special 17 inch alloy rims that use a white finish.

The car’s passengers are spoiled with a set of leather sport seats, which come with special stitching and feature a heating function. In addition to that the custom Fiesta offers a a leather finish for the steering wheel, handbrake and gear shift knob. Other special features include standard side airbags, motorsport branded floor mats and brushed plates.

The new special edition of the Fiesta comes with an engine range consisting of two petrol units and a diesel powerplant. The first two are a 1.4 liter developing 95 hp and a more powerful 1.6 liter Duratec that delivers 120 hp, while the oil burner is a 1.6 liter TDCI that offers 90 hp.

Only 650 units of the Ford Fiesta S1600 will be built, with the pricing starting at 16.665 pounds.
