Ford is the American automaker with the biggest love for crowdsourcing and testing public reactions. The company is currently switching things around, adopting a new, global slogan - “Go Further”, to highlight its global products and fuel-saving attitude.

AutoCar brings back the story of the eternally charming but never marketable Ford Mustang in Europe. The pony car is part of the global marketing campaign, and Ford is eyeing European reaction to the car to see if there is an untapped market for export.

“We are very proud of all these products and are interested to see what European consumers, who may not be familiar with these models, think of them,” a Ford spokesman said.

With the way Ford does things, we’ll probably see the Mustang in Europe one year or so before the next generation arrives as a global car, with more efficient engines and a lighter chassis.
