Fisker Karma Production Starts in March

The moment when Fisker Karma will finally enter production is one of the big uncertainties of the automotive industry, not only because company owners have until now provided deadlines that proved to be inaccurate but also because nobody knows exactly when this is going to happen. But Russell Datz, a spokesman for Fisker Automotive, wants to bring some clarification in this matter and told PluginCars.com that production will finally kick off in March.

Of course, deliveries will begin soon after this moment and the company hopes to sell around 15,000 units this year, but more details regarding pricing and specific release times will be provided closer to the launch event.

Fisker Karma is also expected to arrive in China this year in April and the company has already picked the company that will be responsible for its local operations. China Grand Automotive Group (CGA) will be in charge of distribution, marketing and service operations for the Chinese Karma, the company announced in December 2010.

"We are extremely proud to be working with CGA to support Fisker Automotive in the fast-emerging Chinese market,"
said Henrik Fisker, CEO, Fisker Automotive. "With its vast network of experienced retailers CGA will give Fisker an instant and credible footprint in the region. CGA's attention to detail and excellent customer service will ensure Fisker buyers receive the level of service and peace of mind expected of a premium brand."

The production ready version of the Karma will most likely be on stage at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in March, so stay tuned for some real-life shots with the new model.
