First Indian Roadmaster Trike Is Ready, Looks Really Trick

Things can hardly become any better for those who have been expecting the all-new 2015 Indian Roadmaster so patiently until it was unveiled in early August this year. However, there IS something Indian Motorcycle cannot offer right now, and it is a trike version of the mighty Roadmaster. Still, the cool guys at Roadsmith trikes have heeded the pleas of the Roadmaster enthusiasts who were daydreaming about a three-wheeled version, and here we are.

This isn’t the first trike conversion Roadsmith dishes for the reborn Indian bikes. A similar unit was designed to add trike style to the Chief models, and the Roadmaster is a natural complement for the line-up.

ABS, independent suspensions, raked trees and more

Roadsmith is dead-serious about their trikes and the Indian Roadmaster will be equipped with integrated ABS for increased safety when the rider is forced to slam the brakes for dear life. At the same time, Roadsmith will install raked triple trees for radical raked-out looks, but without impacting the handling of the bike.

The bike is also equipped with electric reverse. It’s somewhat funny how Roadsmith advertises the “quiet operation when backing”, especially as one is expected to eventually start the bike or even start it and leave it running for a couple of minutes to heat it up a bit before hitting the road. Anyway, the electric reverse is a must, as the Roadmaster trike is very hard to move with the feet, and this task is impossible for anyone who is not a very tall, strong person.

Like always, comfort is premium, thanks to the independent rear suspensions. The styling is heavily inspired from the original bike, with deeply-valanced fenders and matching color scheme. No price and other tech specs have been revealed yet, but they’ll most likely be available soon.

As for the reverse assemblies, if you’re interested in something really trick, you might want to check out this reverse pulley system which needs no added motors or gears. And follow this link for more 2015 Indian Roadmaster photos.
