The 2013 V8 Supercars season will be the first to see a Mercedes-Benz car racing through Australia, after Erebus Motorsport managed to join the competition's entry list.
Built in just 109 days, the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG-based race car will take on Ford, Holden and Nissan vehicles in this year's V8 Supercars Championship. Backed by AMG Customer Support, the Australian team will benefit from 650 horsepower 5.0-liter engines provided by HWA. On a side note, these will be the first ever AMG race cars assembled outside of Germany.

The Betty Klimenko-owned company has appointed drivers Lee Holdsworth, Maro Engel, and Tim Slade for its three entries and already attended preseason testing at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Mercedes-Benz will make its debut in V8 Supercars at the Clipsal 500 on March 3 in Adelaide, but until then you can check out the cars in the clips below.
