According to a recent report from Automotive News, Fiat will introduce the Viaggio sedan at the Beijing Motor Show, which will kick off next month. We don’t know how big the market-specific changes will be, but the new Viaggio is reportedly just the 2013 Dodge Dart in disguise.
We’ll remind you that the Dart is a sub-compact built by American automaker Dodge, and is itself based on another car from the Fiat Group, namely the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
According to the report, the Fiat Viaggio sedan will be built at the Fiat-Guangzhou Auto JV plant. The automaker expects to sell 140,000 examples a year at first, but this could rise to 250,000 if demand picks up.
The engine range will only include naturally-aspirated and turbocharged versions of Fiat's 1.4-liter.
